Dr. Steven J. Ruden is the director of the Sea Cliff Dental and Health Center. A graduate of Hunter College and New York University, he has served the community from a private practice in Sea Cliff for over 35 years. Dr. Ruden’s philosophy places the individual first and tailors treatment accordingly. Dr. Ruden places immense value on continuing education as years of postgraduate education have earned him the honor of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry.

His education includes: 2 years post graduate training in Periodontics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine; advanced studies at the nationally recognized L.D. Pankey Institute; and advanced studies in dental Implantology at the famed Lund University in Malmo Sweden.

Dr. Ruden also lectures and works closely with Fortune 500 companies in developing communication systems and interpersonal relationships training programs.

As Director of the Dental Implant program at Nassau County University Medical Center(1986 – 1998),  Dr. Ruden created and developed many of the procedures in use today and trained a generation of implant dentists.   Dr. Ruden is a certified hypnotherapist, which enables him to address many phobias that interfere with patients' ability to accept optimal dental treatment.
